Stinger

"A frosty dessert drink with bite."

L'Orange Martini

"My French take on @JakJericho 's Orange Martini, minus the actual orange! So smooth and flavorful."

Old Fashioned

"Modeled after @forrestfrazier 's recipe, but I was out of lemon. "

Cactus Juice

"Not the Midori looking beverage you thought it would be....delightful, crisp, and flavorful."

Spicy Bloody Mary

"Ordered up one of these during SMD biz meeting with Barkeep. Cheers!"

Kraken & Cola

"This inky black rum from Trinidad and Tobago rivals any of the big name dark rums. It is 94 proof and is smooth enough to be sipped on ice. It has a strong vanilla flavor that makes it very enjoyable to the palate."

Springbank 15 year

"Extremely nice stuff. Very sherry. Great with a fine cigar."

Maroon Martini

"Fee Brothers has a nice line of bitters with all sorts of flavor varieties. They can really change the dynamics of a cocktail. This one was fabulous, sort of like a grape crush with class."

That's a lot of ingredients, but I'm sure the work paid off in taste.

The picture spotlights your point. A martini in my book, was ALWAYS made with gin. A martini made with vodka is just a cocktail in a martini glass. Not all tissue is Kleenex.

Beautiful picture. What kind of bourbon did you use?

I have never seen or heard of white sangria until now. Very classy.

I love Tito’s, it just hard to find out here in the sticks. NH liquor stores started selling it but they are a tad pricey at $25 for 750ml. I also like the Goose and when it’s on sale I stock up. I have tried and like Reyka. I need to try Russian Standard. I’ll put that on the shopping list.

Have you tried Svedka vokda? Thoughts? For the price I liked it.

I'm not sure what's up with my pics... they present correctly on my laptop but get placed sideways on the site. It's something with exif on the JPGs but I can't figure it out, b/c the rum punch picture did come out right in a slew of sideways shots(the positioning of the ice block is how I know). It's frustrating...

I'm a fan of the old school classic cocktails, and drinks that hearken from the golden age of the cocktail -- '20s to mid-'60s. The first time I made the El Presidente it was better than the one recounted here. Sadly, tonight, I'm just drinking coffee, looking for a recipe for tomorrow night.

Thanks for the background on "Steam." I was wondering about that. So cool... but speaking of cool, your Cragganmore story is really great. That must have been a very cool experience!

Thanks, Bartender. I think another Manhattan may be in my future this evening as well.

Hey, thanks for your wall comment! RE Harpoon Chocolate Stout: It probably is a better dessert stout. It's not too heavy, and quite drinkable but I had one before dinner one night and it didn't feel right. Liked it as a middle of the afternoon beer though.

Howdy Bartender! I edited the Carribean Apple with info about the Rum I used. It's called Trigo Reserva Aneja and here's a link to what I found about it online (not much): http://www.examiner.com/rum-in-national/trigo-reserva-aneja-rum-from-puerto-rico But it's a nice rum! Perhaps a biz opp to do their site ;).

Thanks for the background on the three beans. I can totally see it enhancing the flavor of the anise to chew them... I remember hanging around a store that my family owned when I was a kid, and there was a bottle of Anisette that we busted out for the old timers, the locals and the folks in the know to add a bit to the coffee.

I know who you are. The best drinks in the world come from your bar.
