Pisco Sour

Ingredients needed to make a Pisco Sour

2oz Pisco
1oz fresh lemon juice
3/4 oz agave nectar
1 egg white
angostura bitters

Pisco Sour Cocktail Recipe Directions

Add Pisco, lemon juice, egg white and nectar to a cocktail shaker.
Shake vigorously, you want the egg to froth.
Pour into a rocks glass.
Add a dash of bitters as a aromatic.

barkeep's Notes

Traditionally the role of the sweetener is played by either simple syrup or confectioners sugar. I like to give this more of a "South or the Border" flavor by using the agave nectar.

@MixMaster Correct Pisco is similar to brandy (although it reminds me texture wise of Ouzo) and is usually found south of the border in Peru, Chile or Argentina.

The Pisco is like Orujo right? Like a brandy, but not. I'm not a big raw egg guy, but I know a lot of people who enjoy eggs in "flips" and "fizzes". Nice foamy head. Another great classic upload.
