Ingredients needed to make a Commodore #1
1 1/2 ounces bourbon
1 ounce creme de cacao
1 ounce lemon juice
1 dash grenadine
Commodore #1 Cocktail Recipe Directions
Shake well with cracked ice, then strain into a chilled champagne or small martini glass.

This is a perfect example of a pre-prohibition cocktail.

I have seen several cocktails that have a chocolate flavor that is offset with lemon juice. They must neutralize each other. I'm not a bourbon guy, but damn!...this sounds great.
